PURPOSE:To permit the correct air-fuel ratio control even in idling by prohibiting the renewal of the learning correction coefficient independently of the result of the judgement for the learning condition during the time when it is judged that the learning condition is not established in the idling operation state. CONSTITUTION:When a learning condition judging means G judges the establishment of the learning condition, a learning correction coefficient renewal means D renews the value of a memory means E on the basis of the air-fuel ratio correction coefficient by an air-fuel ratio correction coefficient setting means B, and an injection quantity calculating means C calculates the injection quantity according to the fundamental injection quantity detected by a fundamental injection quantity calculating means A, air-fuel ratio correction coefficient, and the learning correction coefficient. In this case, if it is judged that the learning condition is not established during the time when a detecting means H detects the idle operation state, a learning prohibiting means F prohibits the renewal of the learning correction coefficient independently of the result of the judgement of the learning condition judging means G during the time when the idling operation state is detected. Therefore, the erroneous learning is prohibited, and the correct air-fuel ratio control can be carried out even in idling.
