PURPOSE: To obtain a coating for preventing snow and ice from adhering which gives a coating film whose solid surface free energy is small and which is itself good in weather resistance and high in coating film strength by mixing a fluorine-containing copolymer resin made up of a fluorine copolymer resin and an acrylic resin with a specific hydrophobic compound. ;CONSTITUTION: There is provided a coating composition prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. fluorine copolymer resin made up, as essential components, of 40 to 80wt.% fluorine copolymer resin made of vinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene, and hexafluoropropylene as monomer components and 60 to 20wt.% acylric resin containing methyl methacrylate as a monomer component with 0.1 to 200 pts.wt. one or more of hydrophobic compounds selected from nonionic surfactants, fluorosurfactants, low-molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene polymer powders, and silicon resin powders. By mixing the fluorine-containing copolymer resin with the hydrophobic compound, the contact angle with water is made large, i.e., the solid surface free energy is made small.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
