PURPOSE:To permit measurement of the free human Hb (occult blood in feces) particularly in feces with a higher sensitivity by adding a surface active agent to a soln. contg. human hemoglobin which is an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The sensitivity is improved to a greater extent by preliminarily adding a surface active agent to a free human Hb(C) which is the object to be measured. The surface active agent to be used includes sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), etc., of the anion family and polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, etc., of the nonionic family. The native human Hb is thus measurable with the same high sensitivity as for measuring refined human Hb according to the high- sensitivity analysis method using the specific monoclonal antibody for the human hemoglobin.
