How to shut off the bypass system when operating the blast furnace dry dust collector

PURPOSE:To perfectly shut off gas in a dry type dust collecting device by filling water into a gas turn-over part in a wet type dust collector arranged in parallel in the dry type dust collecting device and keeping the difference of the water level at above the pressure loss of the dry type dust collecting device. CONSTITUTION:In the case of changing over the operation from the wet system to the dry system, after opening shut-off valves 6, 8, a dry-system change-over valve 7 in the closed condition is gradually opened and also, the water is gradually stored into a mist separator part 16 in the wet-system primary dust collector 9. The water surface level is kept at the pressure loss of the dry type dust collector or above from the lower end of a flaring pipe 17 and gas flow in the wet system, i.e., bypass system in the dry type dust collecting device is perfectly shut off. Water sealing can be executed in a secondary dust collector 10 instead of the primary dust collector 9. By this method, the operation of the wet-system dust collecting device for the leaked gas is made unnecessary. Further, the shut-off valve in the bypass system can be unnecessitated and the equipment cost can be reduced.
