High-level character manifestation plasmid null for human interleukin 1 polypeptide production

PURPOSE:To provide a high-manifestation plasmid having a specific base sequence at the upstream side of a base sequence of a DNA coding a human interleukin 1 polypeptide and useful for the production of the polypeptide in high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The objective DNA contains a base sequence of formula [X is (A)x (x is 1-5); Y is (A)y(T)z (y is 0-3; z is 0 or 1); ATG at the 3' side is an initiation codon] at the upstream side of a base sequence of a DNA coding human interleukin 1 polypeptide. Preferably, a DNA having promoter activity to control the transcription in the cell of E.coli is added at the upstream side of the DNA. The promoter is preferably tryptophan operon promoter.
