PURPOSE: To provide a holding device for displaying a long-sized item wherein the long-sized item supported can be surely held and can be taken out or put in in an easy manner. ;CONSTITUTION: This holding device 10 for display includes a framed body having nearly a square-shaped horizontal section. The framed body includes a nearly I-shaped first frame member 12 and a nearly L-shaped second frame member 16. The member 16 is disposed in parallel to the member 12, horizontally spaced apart by a predetermined interval. An end 16a of the member 16 is bent nearly into an L-shape so as to be located near an end of the member 12. An in and out port 18 for introduction and withdrawal of a long-sized item is formed between the end 16a of the bent member 16 and the vicinity of the end of the member 12. A door member 20 is disposed at the port 18 to open and close the port 18.
