PURPOSE: To improve the heat radiation efficiency and replacing work efficiency for a TWT by using a fixing apparatus deformed in accordance with the generated heat of a traveling wave tube to adhesively fix a base plate to a heat radiation body. ;CONSTITUTION: A TWT 1 is installed on a heat radiation body 3 by operation for attachedly fixing a TWT fixing apparatus 5 to a heat radiation body 3 to insert a TWT base plate 2 in an unoperative condition between the TWT fixing apparatus 5 and the heat radiation body 3. The performable heat generation condition of the TWT 1 deforms the TWT fixing apparatus 5 in accordance with generated heat to act so as to push the TWT base plate 2 to the heat radiation body 3 to be adhesively fixed. The unperformable condition of the TWT 1 returns the TWT fixing apparatus 5 to an original condition from a deformed condition to make the TWT 1 into an unfixed condition to detach the TWT 1 from the heat radiation body 3 to replace the TWT 1 by operation for drawing the TWT base plate 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
