The drip arrestor is used in the power industry, in particular in fan-operated and natural draught water cooling towers. It improves the efficiency of arresting the drops at improved rigidity of the individual lamellas. The drip arrestor consists of parallelly aranged lamellas (1) which are connected in a lamination package. Each lamella (1) is corrugated on both sides - in lateral dirction by means of large-size, and longitudinally by small-size corrugations. The corrugation profile is in the form of an isosceles trapeze the small base of which is rounded and forms the top of the corrugated part. In the upper end of the drip arrestor, in the outgoing direction of the air flow, each of the lamellas (1) has an edge which includes a horizontal (5) and a vertical (6) section. Section (5) is directed towards the interior of the corrugated-type chamber (4) formed between two adjacent lamellas (1) forming an obtyuse angle with the wall of the same lamella (1) and an acute angle with the wall of the preceding lamella (1). The transition between sections (5 & 6) as well as between vertical section (6) directed outwardly from the drip arrestor, and the wall of the lamella (1) are executed with a rounding.!
