The invention involves a set for detecting antibodies to human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) based on at least one substance with the properties of an immunodominant determinant of phosphoproteins pp150 HCMV, selected from the group which includes peptides of general formula I of H-Thr-Pro-Thr-Pro-Val-Asn-Pro-Ser-Thr-Ala-Pro-Ala-Pro-Ala-Pro-Thr-Pro-Thr-Phe-Ala-Gly-Thr-Gln-Thr-Pro-Val-Asn-Gly-Asn-Ser-Pro-Trp-Ala-Pro-Thr-Ala-Pro-Leu-Pro-Gly-Asn-A-B(I) where A means Met or Met (O), B means hydroxyl or the amino group, and peptides of general formula II of H-Lys-Pro-Thr-Leu-Gly-Gly-Lys-Ala-Val-Val-Gly-Arg-Pro-Pro-Ser-Val-Pro-Val-Ser-Gly-B(II) where B means hydroxyl or the amino group. The coverage of the plate consists mainly of a mixture of conjugates of peptides I and II in mutual weigh ratio of 0.1 : 1.0 up to 1.0 : 0.1. The set, peptides and their conjugates are applicable mainly in the health sector, which has been verified by the authors.
