The invention relates to the 4-(2,6-disubstituted-phenoxy) coumarin derivatives, a process for their preparation and herbicidal agents, used in agriculture for selective control of weeds.Summary of the invention consists in the preparation of compositions, effective for control of monocotyledenous weed species in the presence of cereal crops.The process of selective monocotyledenous annual, perennial and aquatic weeds control, in accordance with the present invention, comprises applying to the soil or water, containing seeds or other propagating organs of said weeds, of a herbicidally effective amount of the compound of formula I:Herbicidal compositions, in accordance with the invention, comprise agronomically acceptable carrier and a herbicidally effective amount of the compound of formula I and are effective in the selective monocotyledenous weeds control which are growing in the presence of cereal crops such as corn, wheat, rice and maize and don't exert extremely harmful influence upon these crops.
