A handle of plastic material for containers such as pails, buckets and the like is provided with connection means adapted at the mounting of the handle to its container to be connected with complementary connection means thereon. In order to facilitate the mounting of the handle to the container and provide that the handle takes prior to mounting a predetermined position the handle (2) forms together with handles of the same kind a flat unit of handles connected with each other (10,18), from which unit the handle is separated prior to mounting.
