The invention relates to a magnifying vision aid for useas magnifying spectacles. The magnifying spectacles inaccordance with the invention have an automatic and/or amanual focusing device, a device for manually alteringthe magnification factor and a device for automaticparallax compensation corresponding to the current focallength.If, for instance during a vascular surgical operation, analteration of the working distance is necessary due tothe position of the different operation sites, the visionaid in accordance with the invention takes account ofthis requirement by the possibility of automatic ormanual adaptation of the focal length and the automaticadaptation of the parallax angle. An optimum opticalconfiguration, which always corresponds to the actionwhich is being performed, can thus be ensured and asubstantially less fatiguing operation than previouslycan be rendered possible by the selection of the mostadvantageous ergonomic position. Furthermore, the visionaid in accordance with the invention offers thepossibility of matching the magnification factor torequirements at every selected working distance.
