37AMORPHOUS NEO-DIOL PHOSPHITE COMPOSITIONSABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA phosphite is provided having the formula:H3C-CH2-CH2-CH2 CH2-0C P-0CH3-CH2 CH,-o Ylwherein Y' is an alkyl group and Y2 is selectedfrom the group consisting of sec-butyl and tert-5 butyl. A solid amorphous phosphite compositionis also provided which preferably contains analiphatic polyamine. The phosphate exhibitsenhanced stability including hydrolytic and UVstability, and is useful in stabilizing10 thermoplastic compositions. The phosphitecomposition exhibits further enhancements inhydrolytic stability, and is useful instabilizing thermoplastic compositions.
