The blank has special folding and cutting lines which define front and back panels (3,4) and side wall panels (5,6) that form the opposite walls of the package. Lid and bottom forming flaps (8a,b,9a,b) extend from the opposite ends of the front and back panels to form a closure. A shaped flap (16) is detached that is joined to the lid forming flaps by perforated lines (17) and forms a bridge between the flaps astride one of the side wall panels. This is then attached to the surface of the blank adjacent to a tear flap (12) defined by a cutting line (14) and perforated lines (15). The first flap has a couple of wings spread close to the front and back panels of the blank.
