A process for the construction of a well 10 made of concrete or ground consolidated by cementing which is circular in plan and has a base slab 15 is described. The process comprises the following operations: - excavation of a vertical trench along a circular path and the formation of an annular cavity which projects radially towards the centre of the excavated path, - filling of the trench and cavity 11 with cementitous aggregate and production of a circular wall with an internal circumferential projection 12, - excavation of the ground circumscribed by the wall to a level below that of projection 12, - casting of base 15 opposite projection 12 obtaining a continuous and monolithic well. - excavation means for forming annular cavity 11 are also described.
