Antiforgery label with protected retroreflective element formed by: a flattened tear-resistant felt or fabric support with graphics identifying the product on at least one side; a permanent adhesive film laminated to the graphics side of the support; an authenticating retroreflective element placed on a first portion of the adhesive film surround by a second portion of adhesive film in the form of a frame; and a transparent plastic protective sheet with high resistance to stresses and abrasion, laid over the retroreflective element and frame so as to form, with the support, a protective envelope for the retroreflective element and an air cushion between the protective plastic sheet and the retroreflective element.
