Multiple-beam antenna with direct radiation and shaped beam, essentially comprised of an array 2, in which are arranged subarrays 3 shaping the high-power beam, and said array 2 being placed between radiators 1 and power amplifiers 4; furthermore consisting of another (conventional) array in which are arranged: adders 5, phase shifters 6 and connection lines 11. The most significant aspect of the invention is represented by the introduction of the array 2 placed between the radiators 1 and the power amplifiers 4. Furthermore, there are arranged in this array high-power beam-shaping subarrays. The main advantage offered by this configuration is that it allows the use of a single antenna where previously numerous radiating panels were required to achieve the same result. This configuration is thus more simple and brings a savings in terms of implementation and cost, besides substantial reliability. The invention lies in the field of antennas in general and finds broad application in that of space telecommunications and radar for use in civilian and military spheres. IMAGE
