The cap is opened and closed by rotating a member (4). When the cap is closed, the hole (22) in the top (40) of a tubular element is sealed closed by the head (18) of an appendix (6). The upper walls (5A,40,18) of the body (100), tubular element (4B) and appendix (6) forming a smooth convex surface. On opening, shell rotation raises the tubular element relative to the main body upper wall. The dispensing hole then projects beyond the main body and is ready for the dispensing of the container contents.
