The rotary screening drum 1 is formed by a plurality of composite rings 17, joined in a pack, aligned axially and which, as seen from the side, have a sinusoidal pattern, in such a way that in one row they create a half part of the holes 18 and in the next row they create a half part of the holes 118. The perforated side surface of the drum realised in this way is characterised by a high hole density, thanks to the honeycomb arrangement of the holes themselves.
