METHOD FOR CONCENTRATING MINERAL SUSPENSIONS BY MEANS OF CONDITIONING WITH INTENSIVE AGITATION AND SIMULTANEOUS FLOATING, AS WELL AS THE APPARATUS FOR THE SAME. THE PRESENT INVENTION REFERS TO A METHOD FOR CONCENTRATING A CERTAIN MINERAL FRACTION ATTACHED TO AIR BUBBLES FROM A SUSPENSION TO A FOAM LAYER ACCUMULATED ON THE SURFACE, IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE CONCENTRATION MAY TAKE PLACE IN THREE ZONES OF MEZES. THE DEVICE OF THE INVENTION IS FORMED BY A COLON-LIKE FLOATING DISPOSITION AND BY FLOW GUIDES, A FLOW ATTENUATOR AND AN AGITATOR BELONGING TO THE SAME. FLOATING REACTIONS ARE CREATED IN THE LOWER ZONE, FROM WHICH THE AIR BUBBLES AND THE MINERAL PARTICLES CARRIED BY THEM ARE DIRECTED IN A CONTROLLED WAY ON THE SURFACE OF THE DEVICE. THE FLOATING APPARATUS IS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT A STRONG AGITATION CAN BE USED IN THE LOWER AREA WITHOUT CAUSING HARMFUL SEPARATION OF THE FOAM ON THE LOWER PART OF THE APPARATUS.
