Process in which the wooden article is frozen for at least one hour until it reaches the operating temperature tr of -10 degree C - -25 degree C, the article being kept at said temperature for at least eight hours. It is returned to ambient temperature and then an anti-xylophagans chemical product is applied to it. Applicable to the restoration of furniture.
