SEPARABLE DIAMOND SHAPED MULTIDIMENSIONAL FILTERS FOR COMPOSITE VIDEO ENDOCING/DECODING APPLICATIONS

Various 2D and 3D diamond shaped filters forencoding and decoding NTSC, PAL and ATV signals arepresented. The particularity of the proposed system isits separability: the desired filter configurations arecomposed of multiple simple ID filters operatingindividually in their own zero or oblique frequency axis.In comparison with existing diamond shaped filters theproposed systems offer substantial advantages, lowcomplexity and better performance along the zero axes(horizontal, vertical and temporal) in the frequencydomain.
