A pot has a bottom and a circumferential wall with a lower edge and an upper edge, the lower edge connected to the bottom. Pot handles are connected to the exterior of the circumferential wall. Inwardly projecting pot segments as components of a closure mechanism are provided wherein the inwardly projecting pot segments extend in the circumferential direction and are positioned below the upper edge. The pot is provided with a matching pressure cooker lid, a steamer insert, a double boiler insert, and a cutting insert.
