An adjustable flow rate screen assembly and associated methods ofcompleting a subterranean well provide variable flow rates throughdownhole sand control screens without restricting access to the welland without requiring overly restrictive screens to be utilized ingravel packing operations. In a preferred embodiment, a screenassembly has a tubular restrictor housing with a flow passage formedthereon, a tubular ported housing having ports formed radiallytherethrough and providing fluid communication with the flow passage,and a tubular selector sleeve with an opening formed radiallytherethrough and permitting fluid communication with a selected one ofthe ports.
