Nucleic acid constructs for the cell cycle-regulated expression of genes, cells containing such constructs and their use for preparing drugs Nucleic acid constructs for both cell-specific or virus-specific and cell cycle-regulated expression of at least one gene comprising the following components: a) an activator sequence whose function is cell-specific or virus-specific activation of basal transcription, b) a promoter module which has a nucleotide sequence which binds at least one protein of the E2F family and has another nucleotide sequence which binds at least one protein of the CHF family and which, furthermore, may contain a transcription-initiating sequence, c) a structural gene which codes for an active substance which undergoes both cell-specific or virus-specific and cell cycle-dependent expression, are disclosed. Nucleic acid constructs of this type are suitable for use in gene therapy.
