A TERMINAL FOR USE BY TRAFFIC WARDENS WHEN RECORDING INFRINGEMENTS OF PARKING REGULATIONS

A terminal for use by traffic wardens when recording infringements of parking regulations consists of a microprocessor which has associated with it a keyboard (6), a display (2), a menu storage (8), a table storage (9), and a graphic storage (10). The keyboard (6) has two keys, a selector key (3) and a confirm key (4). When using the hand terminal, a traffic warden can easily enter the registration number of a vehicle and the place where the vehicle is parked, e.g. in a specific street, and the vehicle may be shown symbolically via a graphic representation, which may e.g. be a crossroads. The terminal additionally has a CCD camera (28) and a tape recorder (29). One of the advantages of the new terminal over manual recording systems is that various traffic wardens can quickly report illegal parking and the like in a uniform manner relative to manual systems, where the traffic wardens have previously used a pencil and a pad.
