The invention concerns an internal-combustion engine with fuel injection, in particular a single-cylinder diesel engine, in which the fuel-injection pump (3) is connected to the fuel pressure line (23) by a constant-pressure valve assembly comprising a feed valve (28) and a pressure-relief valve (29) mounted with its direction of flow opposite to the feed direction. Both valves (28, 29) are fitted next to each other and off the cylinder axis in a separate valve housing (6) located directly on top of the pump cylinder (5).
