A roll stand for calibre rolls is moveable on beams (10) which are fixed to frame (R). Support (7) for armature (8) is also attached to beams (10) but is fixed in position relative to frame (R). When the rolls are moved the support (7) is swung away and then back into one of the slots (A) in beam (12).
