The rapid connector for linking a screened cable (100) to a non-screened cable (101) comprises a connector (2). This has a first end (3) with a bore for receiving a male connection (106) from the screened cable (100) and a second end (4) having a shape corresponding to a connection (110) on the non-screened cable (101). The connector includes a dielectric body (7) having a first end (8) surrounding the first end (3) of the connector (2) , and a flexible dielectric screen (14) surrounding the dielectric body (7) along part of its length. This extends beyond the dielectric and cooperates with a flexible external protective sleeve (19) facing the screening (14), with a length at least equal to that of the screen (14).
