In the present invention there is disclosed an absorption article for wearing in underwear of a bearer having a crotch region with a pair of side edges (22), a longitudinal dimension extending in longitudinal direction and containing a part of a main body (21) with an absorption core (42), whereby to this part of the main body there is attached a pair of side wreathing elements (50) intended for folding about the side edges (22) of the bearer underwear component. At least one from the side wreathing elements (50) contains at least one stretchability zone (56) and another region (58) that is stiffer if compared with the stretchability zone (56). Distal edges (54) of the side wreathing elements (50) are stretched laterally outwards over the longitudinal side edges (22) of the main body (21) part, the stiffer region (58) resistance to bending ranges between 2 grams to 50 grams. The side wreathing elements (50) enable automatic wreathing about side of the bearer panties by simple drawing on the panties and without need of gripping flaps, whereby either at least one stretchability zone (56) of the side wreathing element (50) is capable of longitudinal stretch being greater than or equal to 20 to 30 mm or two stretchability zones (56) have sections that are arranged longitudinally and whose stretch is greater than or equal to 10 to 15 mm and the longitudinal distance between said two sections lies between 20 to 150 mm.
