Production of a metal-ceramic composite moulding contains a Al2O3-rich phase, which is pulled from a predominantly aluminide phase, comprises reacting an optionally sintered green body made of an aluminium reducible oxidic compound, and optionally further non-oxidic compounds or elements, with liquid aluminium (alloy) until aluminide and Al2O3 are formed in the upper layer.
