VIDEO DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATMOSPHERIC POLAR-ORBIT SATELLITE

There is provided an image processing system and a method of image data received from a weather satellite circulating a polar orbit. The image processing system includes: a omnidirectional antenna for receiving FM modulated signal from the polar orbit weather satellite; an input part(100) having an initial amplifier for amplifying the received FM modulated signal to a selected level; a FM receiving part(200) for demodulating the amplified and modulated FM signal through a FM receiver; an AM demodulation and PC interface board part(300) for transforming the demodulated FM signal to an AM signal, converting the AM signal to a digital signal, and detecting a line synchronous signal contained in the signal received from the weather satellite; and a board driving and image processing part(400) for converting the data transmitted from the AM demodulation and PC interface board part(300) into image data.
