The alternator includes a MOSFET used as a rectifier that is sealed by a sealing member (e.g., an epoxy based resin molding) with a heat dissipation fin and an external input / output terminal block. This sealing member can uniformly disperse the stress even if the radiating fins, the terminal block, and the like have different vibration phases. Since the rectifying element is firmly fixed even when subjected to a large vibration, damage to the MOSFET can be suppressed. The MOSFET is sealed with a sealing member, so that the MOSFET is never exposed to atmospheric air. Therefore, the environmental resistance against the operating environment of the MOSFET can be improved by the alternator of the present invention.
