Gain Stabilization Multi-Pumped Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifiers

The present invention provides a gain stabilization multi-pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifier stage that minimizes the effect on the entire system even when one of several erbium-doped fiber amplifiers connected in series in an optical communication system installed on land or under the sea does not operate. The present invention relates to an optical communication system in which each amplifier stage connects a single pumping laser diode to an erbium-doped optical fiber and forms a front end amplifier, an intermediate stage amplifier, and a rear stage amplifier in a forward pumping structure, so that any one of the optical fiber amplifiers in the intermediate stage fails. There is no significant loss in the overall gain, and significant cost savings in the cost of the pump laser diode, thereby reducing the installation cost.
