The digital filter is composed of an FIR filter having a finite tap length configured by a feedback unit, and the sound reproducing apparatus is constructed using the digital filter. In the feedback section, the output from any one of the multiple delay elements included in the FIR filter is attenuated by the effect of the coefficient multiplier. The attenuating output is fed back to the adder placed between the adjacencies located before the output conveying delays. The feedback section repeats the feedback operation to generate an infinite impulse response.
