The present invention relates to a papermaking belt comprising a molded wiper or an aeration-drying belt. These papermaking belts include two layers joined together and a reinforced structure with a resin frame. The yarns of the first layer are blended woven except for the connecting yarns such that each is within a 1.5 yarn diameter of the top plane defined by the knuckle of the first layer. The belt has a thickness of at least 2.5 times the diameter of the yarn for rigidity.
