Use of Muramyl Peptide Compounds

Muramyl peptidic derivatives such as GMDP have particular use in the treatment of ophthalmic diseases such as herpes keratitis and herpes keratitis. In particular, muramylmethyl peptide derivatives are useful for reducing or preventing corneal scarring that can cause symptoms such as keratitis. Treatment with muramylmethyl peptide compounds can be used with treatment with other drugs.
