FIELD: optical systems; static and dynamic control of radiation wavefront. SUBSTANCE: mosaic adaptive bimorphous mirror is used for deforming reflecting surface of multilayer local bimorphous structures made in form of piezoelectric elements. Each element is made of at least two plates fastened in sequence in parallel to internal surface of bottom of cup. Plates has contiguous electrodes at their opposite sides. Vectors of polarization of adjacent plates of each piezoelectric element are oriented to opposite sides. Like electrodes of the plates are connected electrically together. The cup is made in form of an integral item and its bottom has variable thickness. There is a reflecting surface at medium part of the cup, which part has maximal thickness.
