FIELD: experimental studies of high-temperature gas jets. SUBSTANCE: method deals with studies of high-temperature gas jets where ionization of working medium is possible. Device for method realization includes two pairs of mesh electrodes made in the form of flat plates arranged in parallel to each other and to axis of jet. They are insulated from each other and form case of device from where gas jet is discharged. Two electrodes are connected to opposite poles of DC source, electrodes are moved in jet with measurement of difference of potentials between two other electrodes.
