HYDROGEN DRIER IN ELECTRIC GENERATOR COOLING SYSTEM

FIELD: refrigerating engineering; gas drying by its cooling down and removal of condensed moisture from it; power stations using hydrogen-cooled generators. SUBSTANCE: hydrogen is cooled down in regenerative evaporator 7 provided with sprinkler 12 for evaporated medium which is condensate from condenser 3 of turbine 2 and by countercurrent vortex ejector 14. Active nozzle 15 of the latter is connected to steam extraction point 16 of steam turbine 2; mixture of active and passive steam flows is dumped to steam space 18 of condenser 3 of steam turbine 2. Outlet pipe connection 11 for medium coming from evaporator 7 is made in the form of passive nozzle of ejector 14. Heat-transfer surface 19 of evaporator 7 is provided with capillary-pore material wicks 20 to ensure steady evaporation in vacuum; moisture condensed in hydrogen is discharged through steam trap 22.
