SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing DNA fragment HC 250 that determines synthesis of polypeptide showing properties of human hepatitis C virus protein NS3. Polypeptide is prepared using the strain of bacterium Escherichia coli transformed with plasmid carrying DNA fragment HC 250. This polypeptide is able to bind antibodies to gene-encoding protein NS3 of hepatitis C virus. Invention is used in immunodiagnosis of human hepatitis C virus.
