FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: device relates to testing equipment for operational checking and determination of mechanical properties of rock in mother mass. Device has cylindrical body with indenter, indenter actuator in the form of spiral rod, spacer member, handle, dynamometric unit, recording unit, and carriage with reels which is installed on body and connected with spiral rod with possibility of their simultaneous axial displacement and turning in plane which is perpendicular to longitudinal axis of device. Dynamometric unit is in the form flexible strips which are fastened at ends by bars. Fixed on one of bars are handle and writing member. Second bar is rigidly connected with spiral rod by nut.
