Fission reaction of newly charged fuel is carried out for each batch in steps during n cycles whose quantity for single batch of fuel is chosen within the range of 2 n 5. During each reaction cycle, content m3 of fission fragments to be removed from fuel relative to fuel quantity m4 in reactor is brought to value ranging within 0,8 m3/m4 0,99. Then fuel or its part m5 is removed from reactor within the range of 1,2 (m5 + m4)/m4 2 and conveyed to radiochemical recovery and isotope enrichment system built up primarily of chain of centrifugal machines to clean it from foreign impurity content m6 within the range of 1 (m6 + m5)/m5 1,05. Recovered fuel is recharged in reactor and, if necessary, source fuel is added; fission reaction goes on and maximum content of fissionable material m7 is maintained in reactor within the range of 1 (m7 + m8)/m8 1,05, where m8 is total amount of fuel in reactor.
