METHOD FOR MODELLING LIGHTNING DISCHARGE

FIELD: testing equipment; may be used for experimental evaluation of lightning resistance of various objects (aircraft, motor vehicles, high-voltage power lines, various structures, etc). SUBSTANCE: method lies in generation of pulse of current from electric discharge plant and in its successive passing over tested object. Pulse of current is generated by blast-magnetic cumulation. After this peaking of pulse of current is conducted at moment of its maximum by electric blast of conductors which is transformed into fast-growing pulse of current of lightning which is then passed over tested object. EFFECT: possibility of modelling of lightning discharge in autonomous field conditions.
