SUBSTANCE: starting the engine is effected by feeding the propellant components to propellant line and compressed starting gas to turbine of booster propellant pump. Liquid-propellant rocket engine has reaction chamber, units of turbopump delivery system and gas and liquid component mains with branch pipe fitted in booster turbine supply main for connecting the booster turbine to compressed starting gas source. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of starting the engine; invention may be used for liquid-propellant rocket engines provided with afterburners.
