FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: up-grade of reactor includes preliminary step of creating at least three radial and axially-radial catalyst beds 11,12,13 and subsequent steps of introducing first gas-gas heat exchanger 18 between the first (11) and the second (12) catalyst beds and second gas-gas heat exchanger 29 in the third catalyst bed. EFFECT: increased conversion degree of reactor due to cooling gases passing between catalyst beds through indirect heat exchange.
