METHOD FOR MINING FLAT AND INCLINED COAL SEAMS COMING UNDER DRIFTS

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: in mining flat and inclined seams, coal seam is divided into upper part and lower part which are drilled in, prepared and mined separately. Area of upper part of seam is taken of less dimensions and is contoured inside by underground workings separately from workings which prepare lower part of seam. In mining seams by pillars of long extension over strike, diagonal intermediate inclined workings are cut in upper and lower parts of seams independently from each other, and lower and upper parts of seam are worked separately by pillars oriented along strike beginning with lower boundaries of upper and lower parts of seam and continued in raising order with stoping of intermediate inclined workings and removing mine water in worked out spaces. If objects are found on mine surface which should be protected by leaving safety posts, upper part of seam between safety posts or between safety posts and field boundary is contoured separately from lower part of seam which is performed from surface up to lower boundary of safety posts, and lower part of seam is contoured separately from upper part. In mining formation of flat and inclined seams by separate sections combined into single coal-mining complex, using railway or trunk conveyor line installed on surface in gallery or cross-head, upper and lower parts of each seam are combined into single modular section which is independently tied to railway or trunk conveyor line of coal-mining complex.
