BOXCAR FOR CARRYING LONG-CUT AND OUTSIZED CARGOES

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: boxcar has frame 2 and end face walls 3 rigidly secured on frame. Side walls 4 and roof 5 are hinge-mounted on end face walls 3 by means of lever arrangements 6 and 10, respectively, thanks to which walls 4 can be moved apart to form fixed clearance near frame 2, and roof 5 can be hinged to one side. Walls 4 can be made trough-shaped for transportation of outsized cargoes. In this case car, in loaded state, will lie within the contour of preset side clearance limit, and in empty state, it will lie within standard clearance limits owing to turning of walls through 180 degrees and placing side walls 4 inside body by means of lever arrangement 6. Invention solves the problem of opening entire loading platform of car for placing the cargo at one step by means of hoisting crane with provision of clearance between side walls and frame for access to cargo which is necessary for fastening of cargo over entire perimeter. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities.
