FIELD: separation of solid materials with the help of liquid in processing and investigation of mineral raw materials. SUBSTANCE: use is made in narrowing trough which consists of inclined wide loading part and narrow ascending discharging part. Trough is given transverse reciprocation with periodic short-time decelerations. Initial material is loaded with liquid into upper part of trough. Pulp moving over inclined narrowing trough stratifies according to density with additional separation into layers in the lower discharging part of trough due to its segregation. Trough short-time decelerations accelerate segregation. Light fraction is withdrawn in the trough end in transverse direction due to transverse reciprocate ion of trough through pulp shutoff devices of trough side walls. Heavy fraction is withdrawn through slot in trough bottom. Provision of longitudinal reciprocation of trough allows concentration of finely divided material due to movement of heavy fraction over bottom of trough towards trough lower end at the moments of decelerations. Location of magnets under trough bottom and behind the side walls makes it possible to increase the quality of concentrate due to separation of magnetic fraction from initial material. Concentrate of specially high quality is obtained in case of execution of periodic process of concentration with prolonged accumulation of heavy fraction in trough and periodic discharge of this fraction. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
