FIELD: tests of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed bed has base to anchor supports of examined block-crankcase having technological head of unit and pistons located in cylinders, device measuring stress in examined unit-crankcase and loader. Bed is also fitted with tensometric clutch for connection to examined crankshaft mounted in unit-crankcase for registration of the latter in one of specified positions. Loader is composed of power frame and screw pairs in accord with number of cylinders. Power frame has upper plate joined to technological head of unit and unit-crankcase and lower plate placed between upper plate and head and coupled to base by means of supports. Nut of each screw pair has bearing surfaces located between plates in opposition to them and drive. Screw is manufactured in the form of two members interconnected for angular translation relative to one another. Upper member is passed through slot in bottom of piston and is registered against angular translation during rotation of nut. Lower member is fabricated in the form of fork kinematically coupled to connecting rod. EFFECT: possibility of modelling of quasi-static stress-deformed state of unit-crankcase and crankshaft is provided with utmost completeness and authenticity with due account of their interaction at any moment by angle of its turn, stability of this state in time is provided and as result functional capabilities of bed are expanded with simultaneous increase of authenticity of investigation. 1 cl, 3 dwg
